Chair dispute led to Ilfracombe assault

A DISPUTE over a chair led to a man being assaulted at an Ilfracombe residential home, a court has heard.Dennis Cowley, 57, who lives at Hilldales Residential Home, appeared at North Devon Magistrates' Court on Friday where he pleaded guilty to assaulting fellow resident Terrence Lydall.Lyndsey Baker, for the prosecution, told the court the attack took place in the home's TV lounge.She said: "Mr Lydall describes that after finishing diner he sat in a chair.
