A MAN was bitten by a dog in Trinity Street in Barnstaple earlier this month, prompting a police appeal for witnesses.
The incident happened on Tuesday, August 11 between 5.45pm and 6pm.
Police said the man was walking along the pavement and as the owner of the dog was stood talking to someone the man walked in the road, giving them all space, in order to get by.
The dog was on a lead and as the man went past the dog lunged at him biting his left arm causing injuries.
